Physician Assistant - Orthopedics
Our client in Mt. Kisco, NY is looking to add a full time certified Physician Assistant to their orthopedic team. The PA will work with physicians that cover: sports medicine, total joints, hand and upper extremity. First assist in OR, treat patients in office and on the floor. Monday-Friday schedule, no call or weekend requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients under the supervision of a physician
- Conduct physical examinations and obtain medical histories
- Diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, such as lab work and imaging studies
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe medications and therapies
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
- Educate patients and their families about healthcare management and disease prevention
- Some travel required to additional offices
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C)
- State licensure as a Physician Assistant
- Familiarity with standards of care in various healthcare settings
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
