Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedics
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific patient goals and conditions.
- Implement therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to trigger point therapy, orthopedic rehabilitation, and acute care management.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide education to patients and their families regarding treatment options, exercises, and self-care techniques.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care effectively.
- Engage in discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition for patients post-treatment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in compliance with clinic systems.
Qualifications
- Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
- Valid state license to practice physical therapy.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
- Experience in outpatient settings, home health, or acute care preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with orthopedic conditions and rehabilitation techniques is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
