Physician Assistant - Dermatology
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive dermatologic examinations and assessments.
- Diagnose and treat common and complex skin conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, skin infections, and skin cancers.
- Perform in-office procedures such as biopsies, cryotherapy, excisions, incision & drainage, and minor surgical procedures.
- Assist in or independently perform cosmetic dermatology services, including Botox, fillers, laser treatments, and chemical peels (as trained and applicable).
- Prescribe medications and counsel patients on skincare regimens and treatment plans.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests including lab work and pathology reports.
- Provide patient education on disease prevention, sun protection, and skincare.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and thorough documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
- Collaborate closely with supervising dermatologists and other healthcare staff to ensure high-quality care.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in [State].
- National certification by the NCCPA.
- Valid DEA license (or eligibility to obtain).
- Dermatology experience preferred (1+ year), though new graduates with strong interest in dermatology may be considered.
- Exceptional communication skills and a professional bedside manner.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
