Behavioral Health Specialist
Qualifications:
- CPR certification for Health Care Providers
- High School Diploma
- MA certification in absence of Behavioral Health experience or education (preferred)
- Experience in Behavioral Health settings or education related to Behavioral Health practice
- Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively;
- Must be able to act calmly and effectively in a busy or stressful situation
- Has the ability to communicate effectively in the English language in person, by phone, and in writing
- Requires adherence to all policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance
- Basic computer skills
- A working knowledge of healthcare regulations
Additional Responsibilities:
- Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations per protocols.
- Maintain a work area, exam rooms, supplies, medications, and immunizations.
- Maintain professional appearance and personal conduct at all times.
- Adhere to employer work practices as described in the practices Policies and Procedures Manual and in the BH Policies and Procedures.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians, staff, and management.
- Effectively cope with typical job stress (self-care).
- Perform other duties as assigned
